What Is (MLM) Multi Level Marketing
If you’re considering MLM as a business from home, it is best to first of all understand what it is before putting your time and money into it. Being aware of the negatives as well as the positives is wise because if you attend a presentation, usually they keep the downsides on the down low. It also isn’t one of the business out there with the highest morals. The people who succeed eventually and get to a high position, will make money from the people who have tried and failed at it.
A complex illusion of a business, it defies the average persons ability to make proper decisions and evaluate them. The structure of it is solely based on growing an infinite group of people which in logic isn’t possible to do. It cannot be said that a simple structure of marketing exists within it and most MLMs have on thing in common; a distributor is aiming to recruit an unlimited amount of people which also means an unlimited failure rate and competition will arise.
The most classic scheme is often defined by it’s reliance on a geometric progression which is a variable mathematical concept. These progressions are the basis for illegal pyramid schemes and chain letters. It’s application is limited by the imagination of the scheme’s creators and by their mathematical capability.
The MLM schemes reward the main distributors and the members underneath them with paying rewards for the introduction of new participants into their group. The new members need to purchase products every month to qualify for their commissions when they find and recruit others underneath them.
The amount you are rewarded depends highly on your performance with recruiting and how many individuals you have in your downline. Recruiting, therefore is the basis of any person’s success in the business. This can be referred to as leveraging also and is also talked about along with your promises of wealth and freedom due to MLM.
In most cases people are rewarded for selling products to others and it is a legal requirement for distributors to retail. Some may sell their products and services through a loyalty program and doubled up with being required to find others to copy what they are doing in a geometric progression, this can be exhausting and time consuming.
People could get rich from the recruiting process but they hardly earn their living from selling products. Firstly, you will find yourself working long hours without earning anything. The misleading incentive that it is an easy business to get started with, leads you to believe you are able to create many streams of income. Products are often expensive and being caught in the idea of making money, you forget that you can by them cheaper at a store. There is a high rate of failure with these businesses.
