There’s nothing worse than huge dark sweat patches under your arms. When you are out and about during the day or on a night out, sweaty patches under your arm can be very embarrassing. Sweat patches can be extremely excruciating for the sufferer of sweaty armpits. This situation can be actually be made worse when you are anxious and are worrying about it. So is there anything you can do about sweaty armpits?
Sweating can be a much bigger problem for some people even though it is just a normal bodily function for others. Sweating is not a problem at all for some people who hardly even notice it. But for others it can be a huge embarrassing problem which makes them feel very self conscious. Bacteria can build up under the armpits as moisture can become trapped in this area and bacteria thrive in moisture laden areas. And the bacteria which can build up here is worse in people with excessive sweating. And as a result of the build up of bacteria, there will more than likely be some body odour.
But you can do some things which will help to stop underarm sweating. You can reduce the amount of sweating that occurs under your arms by following some advice. It is a good idea to use a good antiperspirant deodorant every morning after your shower. Before you apply the deodorant you should make sure the area is clean and dry. Try to ensure that the clothes you wear are loose fitting and that they are light in colour. It is well known that sweat patches are more noticeable in darker clothes. And it is also advisable for you to avoid wearing any clothing made from materials which are artificial as these can cause you to sweat more.
Because hair can also trap moisture it is recommended that you shave as much as possible. Watch the foods you are eating too. Some spicy foods such as curries, chillies, garlic and onion can make you sweat more.
