Get Skinny Quick in a Few Short Steps
Women ask me all the time, “How can I get skinny quickly?” or “How can I lost 1O pounds in a week?” As a personal trainer, I usually suggest a couple of ways to get started with a safe weight loss program. Although I believe that it is acceptable to jump start a program of weight loss, trying to lose 10 pounds rapidly by doing severe things such as overly exercising in the short term, I will not advise this method upon each occasion that you need to lose weight. When you constantly regain the weight which you have lost, you must develop a lifelong program which will maintain your lower weight and keep you fit over time.
Let’s start with the basics. A lot of people have an unhealthy or difficult relationship with food. Anyone who has been struggling with their weight over the years has tried a number of different approaches where some have worked but they always seem to keep gaining the weight back. I’ve had really gung-ho clients who want to get skinny quick who dropped as much as 30 pounds, only to gain all of it back, and then some. As a personal trainer, I got really frustrated to see all their time and effort count for nothing as they packed on the pounds all over again.
I have come up with multiple diet plains for my clients over the years. My diet programs are built upon the consumption of nutritious, low calorie food and an exercise routine where they receive an optimum amount of exercise to obtain their desired results without making them lose interest due to excessive exercise.
What is the most successful method of keeping your weight under control over time?
It all comes down to not eating too many calories. Ninety percent (90%) of the calories that you consume have to be in the form of whole natural foods that give you the maximum amount of nutrition with the minimal amount of calories. Additionally, you must maintain an active lifestyle while following a conscientious program of regular exercise. For further information on my philosophy of maintaining health and fitness, you should read my Fitness Contrarian Principles. After reading these principles, you will have the basic knowledge about how to eat, exercise and live an active lifestyle. (These fitness principles are a work in progress and I keep adding to them every week)
I have spent in excess of twenty-five years working with friends and customers to help them lose weight and I have concluded that there are those people who must reprogram their thinking in order to maintain a proper diet. The relationship which they have had with the kinds of foods that are causing their weight problems must be altered. If you want to stop eating the foods that you think are keeping you heavy then make sure you read this post called Don’t Get Fat Fast. I explain a mental exercise that I do with some of my clients to stop them from eating fattening foods they love. It’s not easy doing the exercise but it works.
Another tried and tested method I have used on my clients is occasional fasting diets. I have written in detail about them in Fasting For Weight Loss. I obtained a good deal of knowledge regarding occasional fasting from the program of Brad Pilon called “Eat Stop Eating Program.” You ought to take a look at Brad’s website, “Eat Stop Eating.” Here you will find one of the most successful programs I have found concerning weight loss.
